M'Vila: I want Sunderland stay

Wenger faces defensive dilemma

Gotze staying at Dortmund

Arsenal target Mario Gotze will not be leaving German champions Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to his agent.

• Gotze: I'm happy at Dortmund

The Gunners reportedly made a bid for the talent 19-year-old midfielder on Monday, which was rejected, but Gotze's agent Volker Struth insists that the young star is not yet ready to make a move away from the Bundesliga.

"Mario will stay at Dortmund, for sure, the next two years. There is no chance of him going to another club this window,'' Struth told Goal.

"This is because he is so young and it is too early in his career for him. The club, the player and his family, we are all of one mind that it is better for him to stay there because he is happy at Dortmund."

Gotze, who was recently described by Franz Beckenbauer as ''an instinctive footballer - just like Messi," has a contract that ends in 2014 and has already stated his desire to continue his development with Dortmund.

However, Struth added: "When there is a big club who want Mario, Dortmund have to tell the club that there is no chance. In any case, they will not sell him. In two or three years, who knows? I don't know what will happen then."
