PSG keeping Erdinc

Paris St Germain have rebuffed any outside interest in Mevlut Erdinc by stating the striker will stay with the Ligue 1 club for the rest of the season.

Erdinc, 24, has attracted the attention of a number of teams in Europe, including Rennes, Galatasaray and French champions Lille.

The Turkey international is under contract with PSG until 2013 and the arrival of several players at the Parc des Princes over the summer, including frontman Kevin Gameiro, had raised hopes among other teams he would be allowed to leave.

But a statement on PSG's official website said: "Paris St Germain is pleased to announce that striker Mevlut Erdinc will continue to play this season under the badge of PSG.

"Despite numerous requests from clubs wishing to engage the services of Mevlut, the club and the player have decided to continue their adventure together.''

Erdinc joined PSG from Sochaux in 2009 and has scored 29 goals in all competitions for the capital club.
