Spurs sign Yago on loan
Tottenham have signed Juventus midfielder Yago Falque on a season-long loan.
Yago spent last season on loan with Spanish second division side Villarreal B, where he scored 11 goals in 36 appearances as an attacking midfielder.
The 21-year-old was part of Spain's victorious European Under-17 Championship team in 2007 and has also been capped at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level.
The announcement follows Spurs' capture of Emmanuel Adebayor on a 12-month loan deal from Manchester City on Thursday, and with manager Harry Redknapp talking up the possibility of more transfer activity before the window shuts on August 31.
"We're working hard, the chairman's (Daniel Levy) on a couple of transfers at the moment,'' Redknapp said.
Redknapp refused to go into any detail about their targets, but confirmed he had not been in contact with Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish about Joe Cole.
"I love Joe, I'm a big fan of Joe but I haven't spoken to Kenny about him. He's a good a player and I still think he's a kid we could get him going again,'' Redknapp said.
"He's a London boy, and obviously I'm sure he'd love to come back to London to play but he belongs to Liverpool at the moment, but there's one or two others in the pipeline. The chairman's trying to do them and if we can do them then it will improve us again.''
