Uncapped Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny has been named in the France squad for next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Albania and Romania despite picking up an injury last weekend.
The 25-year-old missed last night's 2-1 win at Udinese, which secured the Gunners' place in the Champions League group stage, after hurting his back early in Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool.
Koscielny received his first call-up for February's friendly against Brazil but played no part in the 1-0 victory at the Stade de France.
Les Bleus coach Laurent Blanc has stuck with Adil Rami despite the fact the Valencia defender will be suspended for the Albania game.
Barcelona's Eric Abidal and Tottenham's Younes Kaboul look set to be Blanc's centre-back pairing against the Albanians, with Manchester United's Patrice Evra returning at left-back after he was included at the expense of Manchester City's Gael Clichy.
France, who sit top of qualifying Group D having picked up 13 points from six games, face Albania in Tirana on September 2 before taking on Romania in Bucharest four days later.
