Campbell completes Gunners move

Arsenal have completed the signing of Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell.

• Wenger: I won't walk away
• Dein: Wenger could consider future
• UEFA opens disciplinary proceedings
• Nasri included in Arsenal squad
• Mancini: Nasri deal close

Campbell, 19, joins from Costa Rican side Saprissa after some impressive performances for his country at Under-20 and senior level.

A statement on Arsenal's official website read: "Joel Campbell has been confirmed as an Arsenal player, with all formal agreements and processes relating to his transfer now complete.

"Everyone at Arsenal Football Club would like to welcome the young striker to the club and look forward to his contributions to the team."

Arsene Wenger had this week said of the youngster: "Joel is a young prospect, he has talent and he can play right, left or centrally. We took a gamble on him but, from what we have seen, it is worth taking."
