Charles N'Zogbia has predicted there will be goals aplenty for Aston Villa this season after making a flying start to his career in the Midlands.
The French winger netted on his debut against Braga after sealing his protracted £9.5 million move from Wigan last week.
N'Zogbia's form was instrumental for his old club as they beat the drop last season and Villa boss Alex McLeish is hoping the 25-year-old can fill the void left by the departures of Ashley Young and Stewart Downing.
And he began in style by finding the net against the Portuguese club in Villa's last friendly before the Premier League season gets underway.
"I saw that Darren Bent tried to control the ball, it fell to me and I just hit it, aiming for the bottom corner and I was delighted to see it go in," said N'Zogbia.
"For me, personally, it was the perfect start to what I hope will be a fulfilling career at Villa. If I get the opportunity to score, I will try my best.
"But if the opportunity is there to pass the ball and set up someone else, this is what I'm in the team to do. I will work hard between the strikers and midfield to make sure we can score many goals over the season."
