Keirrison to fight for future

Keirrison believes he can still be a success at Barcelona as he prepares for a spell with the club's B team.

Keirrison, 22, was tipped for big things when he left Palmeiras in 2009, but he has failed to make an impression at the Camp Nou and has had loan spells with Benfica, Fiorentina and Santos.

Barca have yet to confirm their plans for Keirrison, but he is expected to spend the season in the Segunda Division with Barcelona B as he attempts to adapt to Spanish football.

"It is a demanding league, as all the teams play very good football," he told Sport. "I think it's a good way for me to return to Barca. I have really wanted to start playing here, and I must experience stability and continuity.

"I belong to Barcelona and want to stay here. That's my goal and my intention - to fight for a place in the first-team and prove that I can be an asset for the club, although I am yet to hear from the club for the final decision [regarding my future].

"We shall see what the club tells me, but I came to Barca straight from Brazil, and I want to grow here, play here and hope to earn a place in the first-team. I know it's difficult but nothing is impossible. Opportunities arise through hard work and effort. I want to win titles with this club, and not on any other team."
