Birmingham City have announced the signing of Jonathan Spector on a free transfer.
Spector, 25, was a free agent after being released by fellow relegated side West Ham at the end of last season. Championship side Birmingham have now swooped for his services, landing the defender on a two-year contract.
The United States international joined West Ham from Manchester United in 2006 for £500,000 and went on to make over 100 appearances for the Hammers.
Birmingham have already captured Chris Burke, Marlon King, Morgaro Gomis, Adam Rooney and Steven Caldwell all on free transfers. Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill has also joined on a season-long loan.
