Santos Laguna set pace at top

Santos Laguna strolled to a 3-0 win over Atlante to sit atop the nascent Apertura table.

Christian Suarez struck in the first half before Carlos Quintero extended the lead three minutes after the break and Carlos Ochoa rounded off the scoring six minutes from time.

Monterrey also made it two wins out of two as they came from two goals down to beat Tijuana 4-2.

Dayro Moreno and Benny Corona put the visitors 2-0 up, but goals either side of half-time from Sergio Santana and Luis Perez (penalty) pulled Monterrey level, before Walter Ayovi and Cesar Delgado sealed the points.

Cruz Azul also came from behind as they beat Atlas 2-1 with second-half strikes from Adrian Cortes and Emanuel Villa.

Hugo Rodriguez had put the visitors ahead.

Wilmer Aguirre scored a penalty in the last minute to give San Luis a 2-1 win over Tecos.

The teams exchanged goals through Jose Joel Gonzalez and Herculez Gomez, but the match came to life in a hectic finish which saw San Luis' Michael Orozco and Tecos' Juan Carlos Leano sent off, as well as Aguirre's penalty.

The day's other game, between Queretaro and Tigres Monterrey, finished goalless.
