PSG to rival Chelsea for Pastore

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has claimed Paris Saint-Germain will rival Chelsea for the signature of Javier Pastore.

• Chelsea to sign two, Pastore close

On Sunday, Palermo vice-president Guglielmo Micciche said Pastore, 22, is "very likely" to move to Stamford Bridge. Zamparini, however, has suggested affluent side PSG are also keen on the Argentina international.

He told Sky Sport 24: "[PSG sporting director] Leonardo is a great man. He called me and told me he was very interested in Pastore. On Tuesday, we have a meeting with his agent.

"PSG and Chelsea are the two teams in the lead on this issue. There are one or two opportunities in Spain but, either way, he will not stay in Italy."
