Fluminense keen on Brazilian pair

Fluminense president Peter Siemsen is hopeful of signing Brazilian pair Vagner Love and Ibson.

Vagner Love has been contracted to Russian side CSKA Moscow since 2004 but has recently enjoyed loan spells at Palmeiras and Flamengo.

Ibson, too, plies his trade at CSKA Moscow, but is also reported to be interested in a return to his homeland.

Siemsen told Terra: "We have been discussing [a] transfer for them [Vagner Love and Ibson], but it all depends on reaching an agreement within our club."

Earlier this week, Palmeiras vice-president Sandro Lima said: "Every player who wants to return to Brazil is searching for the best option to continue their career.

"Vagner wants to come to Brazil and play for our club. He is an excellent player but his situation is very difficult.

"The negotiations have not begun yet. Vagner has only had a meeting with the president of our sponsor, Unimed-Rio, Celso Barros.

"We will all discuss the transfers - myself, Peter [Simsen], [Fluminense executive director Marcelo] Teixeira and Celso."
