Panathinaikos forward Djibril Cisse is eager to complete his permanent transfer to Lazio this week after cutting short his holiday in a bid to finalise the switch.
Lazio have reached an agreement with Pana to sign the France international, but the deal remains on hold with Lazio still having to offload one of their strikers.
"I am fed up with waiting for the negotiations to be completed,'' Cisse told Corriere dello Sport. "I hope to be in Rome tomorrow to undergo a medical. For my transfer to Lazio, I have had to give up part of my holidays.''
Cisse, 29, looks certain to seal a move to the Stadio Olimpico, where he will have the opportunity to play Europa League football next season.
But the former Liverpool and Marseille striker, who is under contract in Greece until 2013, insisted the chance to test himself in Serie A is the key factor in him wanting to move to Lazio.
"I'm fascinated by the idea of experiencing a new adventure, in a difficult and stimulating league as is the Serie A,'' he said. "I am ready for that challenge.
"All I want is to greet the Lazio fans that are waiting for me. I know my arrival is creating a lot of enthusiasm and I want to repay that trust.''
