Turkish club Eskisehirspor have completed the signing of striker Kris Boyd on a free transfer from Middlesbrough.
Boyd, 27, ended a prolific four-year spell with Rangers last summer to join Boro, but he struggled for form and was allowed to join fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest on loan in a swap arrangement involving goalkeeper Paul Smith.
He improved his fitness while at the City Ground and scored six goals in ten games to help fire Forest into the play-offs, but no permanent transfer was agreed and he has now left Great Britain for a new challenge abroad.
A statement on Middlesbrough's official website read: "Striker Kris Boyd has joined Turkish Super Lig I side Eskisehirspor after having his Boro contract cancelled by mutual agreement. The 27-year-old is understood to have signed a three-year deal."
