New QPR deal for Shittu

Nigeria international Danny Shittu has signed a new one-year contract with Premier League new boys QPR.

• QPR ready for Taarabt exit
• QPR dismiss Warnock reports

Shittu, 30, has made nearly 200 appearances for Rangers in three spells at Loftus Road.

Shittu told QPR's official website: "I am pleased to have my future sorted out and am delighted that I will be spending the next year with QPR in the Premier League.

"I had other options available but I love this club and to have been involved in our promotion from the Championship last season is something I will never forget.

"Now I want to play my part in helping QPR stay in the Premier League.''

Shittu has 28 caps for Nigeria and has played for both Watford and Bolton in the Premier League.
