Yobo eager to stay with Fener

Everton defender Joseph Yobo says he does not want to return to Goodison Park and is set on a permanent move to Fenerbahce.

Yobo joined Fener on loan last summer and has quickly settled in to life in Turkish football. He is now hopeful the two clubs can thrash out a permanent deal. At present the two clubs are some way apart in their valuation of the Nigeria international.

"My future is with Fenerbahce," said Yobo. "I do not want to return to Everton because I have seen the difference in playing in a competitive team on a regular basis and that has helped me to improve.

"Football can leave you if you are not playing regularly and I hold my present form to my stay in Turkey, which is where I want to remain.

"My bosses in Turkey are happy with the way I have played and they want me to remain with them. We are just working on the process that would make Everton to release me permanently to Fenerbahce."
