Santos threaten clubs over Neymar

Santos director of football Pedro Luis Nunes has warned clubs interested in Neymar that they will report them to FIFA if they contact the player's agent directly.

Chelsea priced out for Neymar

Chelsea and Real Madrid have led the race to sign Neymar this summer, although ESPNsoccernet understands that the Blues are unwilling to meet his €45 million buyout clause and are therefore out of the running.

However, although it has been reported that Madrid have all but completed the signing, Pedro Luis Nunes has insisted there has been no firm offer and that Santos are prepared to take action.

"There is no agreement between any club and Neymar," he said. "I need to make that clear. There is no firm proposal for him and it is just speculation.

"European clubs have a habit of talking only with the representatives of the players, and if a club had spoken directly with the agent of Neymar and not Santos, we would file a formal complaint to FIFA."

Madrid-based newspaper AS made contact to question whether the remarks applied to Real Madrid, and he added: "I do not know if they have sat with the agent or the president. Any club that wants Neymar will have to sit exclusively with us.

"Otherwise, we'll understand it as harassment and report them to FIFA, as we did with Inter and Paulo Henrique [Ganso]. We have no intention of selling any of our stars - neither Neymar nor Ganso.

"If a club comes to talk to Santos and pays the €45 million clause, it will be a matter for the player."
