Leonardo leaves Inter to join PSG

Inter Milan coach Leonardo has quit to take up a new role with PSG, leaving the Nerazzurri to hunt for their third coach in less than a year.

• Leonardo set for Inter exit

Leonardo, who took over from Rafael Benítez at San Siro in December, will join PSG to oversee the French Ligue 1 club's sporting operations, according to Inter chief executive Ernesto Paolillo.

Paolillo told Bloomberg: "Leonardo is going to Paris and the club is looking for a new coach. We wanted to keep him but he has decided to leave us."

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier this week that the Brazilian held talks in Doha with executives from Qatar Sports Investments, which owns a 70% share of PSG.

Fiorentina coach, and former Inter player, Sinisa Mihajlovic, has been mentioned as a possible successor but Inter president Massimo Moratti has said he will not attempt to poach a coach from another club.

"Mihajlovic belongs to another team and I, for the time being, will not make a move for those (coaches) who are under contract," Moratti said on the club's official website.
