Ajax move for Sigthorsson

Ajax are hoping to resume talks with AZ Alkmaar this week over the signing of striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.

Ajax had a €3.5million bid rejected last month and there has been no contact since. But Ajax technical manager Danny Blind says they will now look to make progress on a move for the 21-year-old Iceland international.

Blind told Voetbal International: "We will this week seek talks with AZ to get things moving again. No-one would benefit from this being a lengthy matter.''
