Brazil: Sao Paulo unbeaten in four

Sao Paulo have gone four games unbeaten after a win over Gremio extended their lead at the top of the Campeonato to five points.

Carlos Casemiro opened the scoring only to inadvertantly make it 1-1 with an own-goal eight minutes into the second half.

Bonfim Marlos and Dagoberto ensured the leaders took the points and Gremio has Rafael Marques sent off in the final minute.

Santos also endured a red card, to Simon Vinicius in the 49th minute, but fought for for a point at Cruzeiro.

Walter Montillo converted a 54th-minute penalty to put the home side in front, only for Humberlito Borges to equalise with a minute to go.

Avai earned their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw against America MG.

Alessandro and Cassio scored the first and last goals, with Fabio and Julinho trading second-half penalties in between.

In Vasco de Gama's draw 1-1 with Figueirense, Aloisio sealing the point late on once Brandao Elton had got the ball rolling.
