Kolarov: I want to stay
Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov has ended any speculation that he is thinking about leaving the club this summer.
A handful of Italian outfits are reportedly keen on a move for the Serbian left-back, and now Fiorentina are the latest club to be linked with the 25-year-old.
Inter Milan and Juventus are also believed to be interested in bringing the player back to Serie A, but Kolarov insists he's content working under Roberto Mancini.
He said: "Journalists must be struggling for news. I have not been contacted by any Italian club and when this happens it will not affect me. I want to stay at Manchester City."
Kolarov, who moved to Eastlands from Lazio in the summer of 2010 for £16 million, made 37 total appearances for City last season and found the back of the net three times in all competitions. He is, however, keen on improving at the club next season.
"I have been playing for Manchester City for just one year and this season I adapted to English football,'' he said. ''I'm sure next season I will be able to perform even better."
