Gera reveals "love" for Baggies

Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera remains coy on whether he will be returning to West Brom, but concedes he still loves the club where he spent four years before moving to southwest London.

The three-time Hungarian footballer of the year will be a free agent when his contract at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the month, but has reportedly already held initial talks with the Baggies about a possible return to the Hawthorns.

"There is nothing more I can say about that at the moment," Gera said. "But it is correct to say I enjoyed my time at West Brom. They gave me my chance in English football.

"I still love the club and, the two times I've gone back with Fulham, I had a wonderful reception from the fans. You don't forget things like that."

Having signed Gera for Fulham from West Brom back in the summer of 2008, current Albion boss Roy Hodgson appears keen on bringing back the 32-year-old to the club for whom he has scored 25 goals in 155 appearances. Gera initially signed for the Baggies in a £1.5 million deal from Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros in 2004.
