Norwich agree fee for Millwall's Morison

Norwich have agreed terms with Millwall for Wales striker Steve Morison.

The Lions forward scored 17 goals last season and is now close to completing a remarkable rise from non-league football to the Premier League.

Morison started out at Northampton before dropping out of the Football League, first with Bishop Stortford and then Stevenage Borough.

He scored heavily for both before being picked up by Millwall in May 2009 for a fee of £130,000. How much his transfer value has leapt in the meantime has not been revealed by Norwich, who now have permission to discuss personal terms with the 27-year-old.

If they can be agreed, he would be the Canaries' second signing since winning promotion from the Championship, following the acquisition of James Vaughan from Everton.

Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler said: "We have allowed Steve to talk to a Premier League club having negotiated a deal that has matched our valuation. It is now for Norwich and Steve to agree terms.''
