West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans is keen to prove his fitness after a season blighted by injury and loss of form.
Dorrans, 24, was one of the team's stars as he fired Albion to promotion in 2010, but his debut campaign in the top flight was a poor one and he is now determined to get himself back in contention for the start of the new season.
He told the club website: "I aim to get as fit as possible and hopefully impress the gaffer from the first day of training. I want to push on and show that I can establish myself in the Premier League.
"I knew I was going to have to come in and do an extra few weeks' work. It's part and parcel of what I've got to do. My ankle is feeling good now, and fingers crossed things keep going well as I do more rehab over the summer so that I can get back in with the other lads."
