Bendtner 'easily worth £12m'

Arsenal should "easily" receive a fee of around £12 million for striker Nicklas Bendtner, according to the player's agent.

Beckenbauer: Bendtner would suit Bayern

Bendtner has informed Arsene Wenger that he wants to leave the club after failing to secure first-team football, and Bayern Munich has been touted as a possible destination having earlier expressed an interest in the Denmark international.

Thomas Bendtner, the striker's father and agent, has now said he expects Arsenal to receive a significant sum for the player despite his lack of appearances for the club.

"As an agent for Nicklas, I am not told the specific price that Arsenal want. Clubs will sort that out between each other," Thomas said. "Around £12 million sounds very realistic.

"He has been higher, but the price goes down when he is not playing enough. Nicklas has all the qualities to live up to that sort of money, and we can easily find him a club which wants to pay that amount of money."
