VVV-Venlo chairman Hai Berden has confirmed the club will be playing in a new stadium from the 2013-14 season onwards.
An agreement has been reached to finance the construction of a multifunctional complex - known as the MFC deKazerne - with work expected to begin at the start of next year.
Berden believes it will offer the chance for development of the city as well as the club.
"It (the stadium complex) socially and economically provides Venlo city centre and the region of North Limburg with many opportunities, thanks to modern facilities,'' he said.
"It will also give VVV-Venlo the opportunity to develop the club and the profile. It is an attraction complex and is important for the further development of the region - we are happy that we really can get to work. ''
Despite plans for a new stadium, it remains to be seen which league VVV will be playing in when work begins as they prepare for the first leg of their Eredivisie promotion/relegation play-off with FC Zwolle.
