Redknapp cools Chelsea talk

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has played down talk linking him with the managerial vacancy at Chelsea, insisting he is content with his role at White Hart Lane.

Chelsea's decision to axe Carlo Ancelotti just hours after the final game of the season has seen the rumour mill crank into life, with the likes of Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas, Turkey manager Guus Hiddink, former Netherlands chief Marco van Basten and Redknapp in the frame.

Redknapp has won many admirers for propelling Tottenham from the bottom of the Premier League when he took over to the Champions League. Their failure to secure a second crack at Europe's premier club competition has seen his future debated upon, but he has heard nothing from Chelsea.

"I've got a great job at Tottenham," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "Things are going well for me. I have had a couple of great years; it couldn't have gone better for me there.

"I haven't heard anything from Chelsea that's for sure, no one has ever mentioned Chelsea to me.

"It's not the first I have heard of it, someone said to me today your name got mentioned on TV, well I said I've never heard nothing at all so it's all news to me."
