Pohang Steelers go top

Pohang Steelers came back from two goals down at home to Jeonbuk Motors to win 3-2 and leapfrog the visitors into top spot in the K-League.

Lee Dong-guk put Jeonbuk ahead after 37 minutes with a shot that took a deflection and when Park Won-jae extend the lead five minutes later, the Motors looked set to pull clear at the top.

Shin Hyung-min headed a goal back just before the hour, however, and shortly afterwards Jeonbuk's Jung Hoon was sent off for a second yellow.

Adrian Chuva headed home the equaliser from Hwang Jin-sung's corner with 17 minutes remaining. Both sides looked for the winner and Chuva grabbed his second and Pohang's third seven minutes later from the penalty spot after Kim Sang-sik handled.

``I told the team at half-time that they shouldn't give up,'' said Pohang coach Hwang Sun-hong. ``They kept going until the end and I am delighted with the victory after a frustrating first half.''

Jeonbuk boss Choi Kang-hee said: ``It was a game between first and second and as you would expect, both teams did their best to win. We controlled the first half and Pohang controlled the second.''

FC Seoul made it three straight wins by defeating Gyeongnam 3-1 at home. Dejan Damjanovic opened the scoring after just nine minutes and though Kim In-han equalised for the visitors just before the break, Ko Yo-han scored twice in the second half.

Sasa Ognenovski put Seongnam Ilhwa ahead against Suwon Bluewings from the penalty spot after 57 minutes only to see Alexander Geynrikh pop up with the equaliser three minutes from time.

Jeju United won 1-0 at Ulsan Horang-i thanks to a goal from Park Hyun-beom on the hour while Incheon United and Busan I'Park drew 0-0.
