Ruud van Nistelrooy has placed Premier League clubs on alert by revealing he is in favour of a return to England this summer.
Van Nistelrooy will be available on a free transfer this summer, with his deal at Hamburg set to expire, and he is expecting concrete offers to arrive in the coming weeks.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has been frustrated by the form of his strikers this season and suggested recently that he intends to add some new firepower to his squad.
The former Manchester United striker is a proven goalscorer and on a free transfer, so he may prove an attractive proposition to Redknapp.
"Spain would be great because I have played there before but in the Premier League I have many good contacts," Van Nistelrooy told Bild.
"There are concrete offers but for the first time in my career, I will be an agent in the summer. I will sit down with the proposals and make a decision with my wife."
