Bendtner 'not satisfied' with bit-part role

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner wants showdown talks with manager Arsene Wenger this summer as he aired his frustrations at his bit-part role this season.

Bendtner, 23, has been used out of position on the right wing when given the chance to play in the first XI and has only started three games for the club this year. The Danish international, who has been vocal about his belief in his own abilities in the past, now claims he is not satisfied by his current situation.

"I need to have a talk with him [Wenger] because I'm not satisfied as well," Bendtner said. "I'm not satisfied with playing on the right wing which I've done more or less all season long.

"I'm concentrating on getting the Champions League place and then we'll do the evaluation at the end of the season. It's certainly not the best thing for me but it's not up to oneself and sometimes you have to adapt to what the manager says."

Both Robin van Persie and Marouane Chamakh are ahead of Bendtner in the Gunners' striking pecking order and there have also been reports in Spain that Wenger is keen to add another striker to the squad – Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
