Champagne on ice for expectant Milan

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is keeping his feet on the ground despite his side being firmly on course to win the Scudetto for the first time since 2004.

The Serie A leaders know that a draw against Champions League hopefuls Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday would be enough to secure their 18th league title.

"We cannot talk about the Scudetto until it's done," Berlusconi said. "I hope we can celebrate very soon and I believe it will happen. We need a point and not to achieve that in our last three games would be very unlucky."

Eight points separate AC Milan and Inter with three games to go and the Nerazzurri can only pray that their city rivals slip up in Rome to allow them to continue dreaming for another week.

Inter face Fiorentina on Sunday, but due to their inferior record in their two games with the Rossoneri this season, Massimiliano Allegri's Milan would win the league title if the sides finished level on points.

Milan have won their last five games and will be boosted by the return of strikers Alexandre Pato and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this weekend.

Inter, meanwhile, will also have the added pressure of taking three points at the San Siro knowing that anything else could see Napoli leapfrog them into second.

Napoli are one point behind Inter and visit relegation-threatened Lecce on Sunday.

Udinese and Lazio will battle it out at the Friuli stadium with the Romans looking to defend the fourth and final Champions League qualifying spot. Lazio are one point clear of Udinese, who are level on 59 points with Roma.

A draw at the Friuli stadium would benefit Juventus, who boosted their Champions League qualifying hopes with a 1-0 win at Lazio in the last round. The Turin giants take on Chievo on Monday looking to reduce their four-point deficit with Lazio.

Palermo expect to make amends for their dismal showing in their 3-1 defeat at Parma when they entertain relegated Bari at La Favorita.

Last weekend's surprise loss ended the Sicilians' hopes of a top-six finish. Palermo trail nine points behind Roma, who hold the last European qualifying spot.

Strugglers Sampdoria know that they could find themselves in the bottom three by Sunday evening if they lose at city rivals Genoa and results elsewhere go against them.

Samp are just one place and one point clear of 18th-place Lecce ahead of this weekend's derby at the Luigi Ferraris stadium.

Parma will look to make it four wins in a row when they visit Bologna on Sunday. The Gialloblu have beaten Inter, Udinese and Palermo to climb six points above the drop zone.

Cesena travel to Sardinia to face Cagliari looking to distance themselves from the relegation zone. The promoted outfit are two points and two places clear of the bottom three.

Brescia host Catania on Sunday knowing that a defeat could see them relegated to Serie B. The Rondinelle are 19th, five points adrift of safety.
