Douglas Costa's agent claims Manchester City are weighing up a move for the Shakhtar Donetsk star.
Douglas Costa, 20, was linked with a move to Manchester United during his time at Gremio before making the move to Shakhtar in 2010, and speculation persists that he could be set to play in the Premier League.
Serie A side Napoli are also said to be interested in the attacking midfielder and agent Cesar Bottega believes something could happen in the near future.
"I have spoken a few times with Manchester City," he told notiziariosportivo.com. "They have shown interest in the player and are now considering whether to enter into a negotiation or not.
"I am planning a trip to Europe in a fortnight, but if something were to change I'm ready to leave earlier.
He added: "Napoli have followed the player's performance in the Champions League. I don't know if there were concrete contacts - I have not been contacted. Logically, they will first, in any case, contact the club."
Douglas Costa recently spoke to Globo Esporte to say he was happy with life in the Ukraine.
"Today, everyone knows about Shakhtar," he said. "We are a respected team.
"At first, I found it hard to adapt. I arrived in the winter and it was very cold and snowy. For the first six months, I was alone here.
"Luckily, I then built a bond with [Shakhtar team-mate] Alex Teixeira, who I'd played with for the Brazil Under-20 side. We lived close to each other and spent a lot of time together. That was important for my adaptation."
