Garcia continues title pursuit

Lille coach Rudi Garcia insists his side are not running out of steam in the race for the Ligue 1 title.

The leaders face Lorient with just one point separating them from second-placed Marseille, who are in Coupe de la Ligue final action against Montpellier, after taking just one point from their last two games.

Lille cannot afford any more slip-ups if they are to keep defending champions Marseille at bay with just seven games to go.

"In 2011, Marseille have made the most progress, but we're still ahead of them and still on track to achieve our season goal of a top-three finish,'' Garcia told Ligue 1's official website.

Lorient still have a slim outside chance of snatching a European place as they lie seventh in the table, nine points behind Paris St Germain in fourth.

Lille midfielder Florent Balmont suffered a thigh strain in the win at Nice, while for Lorient Gregory Bourillon is suspended and Franco Sosa injured. Kevin Monnet-Paquet is a doubt with a slight ankle problem, but Arnaud Le Lan could return after missing the 2-1 win at Rennes for personal reasons.

Nancy play at home to already-relegated bottom side Arles lying in 16th position and on 37 points, with their opponents 20th on just 13. Nancy have drawn two and lost one of their last three games, with Arles losing two and drawing the other.

PSG head to Brest lying in fourth place, one point behind Lyon and the final Champions League place and one point above Rennes and the possibility of no European football at all.

Back-to-back league wins against Caen and Lyon - plus the Coupe de France success against Angers - has set the club up for a strong finish. However, PSG will be up against a Brest team who may sit 11th in the table but who are also only four points clear of the drop zone.

Toulouse boss Alain Casanova has held all training sessions behind closed doors this week in a bid to motivate his players ahead of the game with fellow strugglers Caen.

Toulouse, who will be without the suspended Franck Tabanou, have not won for four games and lie 14th. They need to win to move away from danger but so do Caen, who lie 18th after losing four of their last five Ligue 1 matches.

Bordeaux, who drew with leaders Lille last time out, face St Etienne who are in sixth and 17th-placed Monaco continue to fight for their top-flight status at home to Rennes who are fifth. Valenciennes are at home to Sochaux and Auxerre host Lens.
