'Pandev can play alongside Tevez'

Goran Pandev's agent believes the forward will stay at Inter next season and could form a partnership with Carlos Tevez.

Pandev, who joined Inter in January last year after his Lazio contract was terminated, has scored just twice in Serie A and once in the Champions League this season and his future has come under scrutiny as a result.

Inter are expected to try to rebuild the squad after a disappointing season in the wake of last year's Treble success, and Corriere dello Sport reports that Tevez is among their prime targets. The striker was in Milan on Thursday night with his girlfriend but, asked about his future, would only say: "No comment."

Agent Carlo Pallavicino believes Inter may be interested in signing the Manchester City captain, but does not believe it means the end for Pandev.

"I'm convinced that Pandev will be at Inter next season," he told Sky Sport 24. "They have yet to admire his true quality. I hope that he can soon play alongside Carlos Tevez."

He added: "The fact that Inter need rebuilding is clear to everybody, but I don't know how long it will take.

"I think Leonardo will stay as coach because there is a good feeling with president Massimo Moratti. There is a need for time and patience, but the club must understand that a lot of players have lost their motivation."
