Pezzaiuoli to leave Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim have announced that coach Marco Pezzaiuoli will leave the club at the end of the season.
Pezzaiuoli took over in January following the departure of Ralf Rangnick but has struggled to improve their fortunes, with the team winning just three of 12 Bundesliga games under his stewardship.
The club's general manager Ernst Tanner said he had not been handed an easy task - the departure of key player Luiz Gustavo to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window being particularly damaging - but he remained hopeful having the issue resolved should improve performances on the pitch for the remainder of this campaign.
He said: "The situation after the coaching change and the departures in the winter was not easy for Marco Pezzaiuoli and the club but we have decided that due to developments in recent weeks we will go with a new coach for next season.
"Therefore, there will be no excuses for the team and and they have the responsibility to complete the remaining games of this season with full concentration.''
Hoffenheim, who are currently 10th in the table, have yet to announce who will replace Pezzaiuoli, 42.
