Sturridge vows to fight for place

On-loan Bolton Wanderers striker Daniel Sturridge insists he wants to force his way into the Chelsea first-team next season.

• Ancelotti's future is decided
• Fergie: We have Blues' hunger
• Man Utd vs Chelsea preview
• Forum: Carlo's job in doubt?

Sturridge has been a revelation since moving to the Reebok Stadium in January, scoring six goals in seven Premier League starts.

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated the former Manchester City striker will return to the club in the summer, despite Bolton boss Owen Coyle understandably wanting to sign him on a permanent basis.

But Sturridge has only ever started two Premier League games in a season and a half at Stamford Bridge, scoring one goal, and chances may be even more limited with Fernando Torres added to the ranks.

"I see my future with Chelsea," said Sturridge. "I don't have any other aims but to become a regular there.

"If I can achieve that, then great, but if not I obviously would have to assess what's going to happen.

"But I'm a Chelsea players and I love playing for the club."
