Premier Showdown - Apr 2-3

Dale Johnson managed to cut Tommy Smyth's lead at the top of the Showdown table to just 1.5 points in the last round. So with just eight rounds left to go it's just too close to call.

We've been hoping for a late rally from the Rest of the World team but it has yet to materialise. Maybe we'll see a much-needed three points this weekend courtesy of Yoal Ghebremeskel, who is from Dever, Colorado which of course in the United States.

Yoal tells us: "I'm 25 years old and I have worked for a non-profit organisation assisting in the resettlement of refugees from across the world.

"Currently I coach soccer to refugee youths who have played 'the beautiful game' across the globe and continue to do so here in Colorado idolising professional players, and who continuously play every day in so they can be better players. My first time making picks on fixtures; looking forward to participating."

From his predicitions you'll be surprised to learn that Yoal is a Chelsea fan...

Let's check out those predictions.

For each round of Premier League action we invite one reader to take on Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth and ESPNsoccernet journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

Another easy win for Tommy Smyth, including two correct scorelines, and he's stretches back into a 4.5 point lead with only seven rounds left!

Table after Round 31
Tommy: 40.5
Dale: 36
Rest of the World: 16.5

Best week's total of season so far: 13, Tommy Smyth (from eight fixtures).

So do you think you can beat the best of the best? Now is your chance to find out!
