AC Milan defender Thiago Silva believes arch-rivals Inter will win the race to sign Brazilian starlet Ganso.
Santos midfielder Ganso, 21, has already made his full international debut for Brazil and is rated as one of the finest young talents in the country.
It emerged in January that both Milan clubs were due to battle it out for his signature, but Thiago Silva - who joined the Rossoneri in 2009 - has revealed he expects Inter boss Leonardo to prove decisive in the deal.
"Leonardo was very important in my career," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I'll reveal a little secret: before signing for Milan, I was in negotiations with Inter. Well, Leonardo [then Milan boss] started calling me on the phone.
"He talked about the team, Milanello and my future. After a few weeks of this, I slammed the door on Inter and signed for Milan. I think he'll take the same approach with Ganso.
"Unfortunately, it won't be easy to convince Ganso to turn down Inter with Leonardo there. He always has the right words."
