Becks excited ahead of MLS start

LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham says he is excited about the start of the new MLS season as his side get ready to face Seattle Sounders on Tuesday.

Beckham, who almost signed for Spurs in January after a training period with the club, is now in the final year of his five-year deal and is looking forward to being back on the pitch after suffering with injury last season.

Galaxy picked up a Conference semi-final win over the Sounders in last year's campaign and Beckham now claims he is ready to face them again.

"I think we're all excited to get the season underway because when it's pre-season it's all work and no play and we're looking forward to the game," he told Sky Sports News.

"We've enjoyed success in Seattle last year, but we know it's a totally different game at the start of the season, fresh season. We've worked hard so we're ready."
