Barcelona have confirmed that Lionel Messi is a doubt for the weekend's game against Getafe following what the club describe as a "bad knock" to his knee.
Messi suffered the injury just prior to half-time in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Sevilla as he collided with opposition goalkeeper Javi Varas.
Barcelona's top scorer required treatment before hobbling off, although he did appear for the second half as the reigning champions dropped two points.
Messi will now be monitored ahead of the Getafe fixture, with a club statement confirming: "Messi suffered a bad knock on his right knee and his availability for Saturday's game will depend on his progress during the week."
The club have also announced that there is "serious doubt" surrounding the possible participation of Pedro and Maxwell, who are suffering with hernia and thigh problems respectively.
Adriano (leg strain) and Dani Alves (ankle) are also doubtful and will require further examination.
