Van Geel hoping for Castaignos return

Martin van Geel believes Luc Castaignos would benefit from a loan stint at Feyenoord next season.

Castaignos, 18, is set to join Inter Milan on a four-year deal in the summer after an impressive campaign with the Rotterdammers but Van Geel, who has agreed to move to Feyenoord as technical director from Roda JC, is hoping he will consider a temporary move back to De Kuip.

"I understand now he would rather stay at Inter to compete with Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o but in the summer when he discovers that he might not get the chance to play he might consider things," Van Geel told NUsport.

"I think it is a serious option for him. Playing here next season will help his development. He is only 18 you know."
