Milan turn focus to Scudetto

AC Milan must immediately forget their exit from the Champions League if they are to have a chance of winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia, according to coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Milan only managed a goalless draw at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night and lost the tie 1-0 on aggregate, thus dashing the club's hopes of an eighth European title.

"I am disappointed but it's part of football," Allegri said. "We failed to score but the performance against Tottenham reiterates our current good form.

"Now we have to concentrate on the domestic competition. All my players are ready for the final 10 games in Serie A and our three matches in the Coppa Italia."

AC Milan are riding a four-match winning streak in Italy as they go into their home match with bottom side Bari.

Allegri's men are five points clear of second-place Inter, who are the only Italian team still alive in European competition.

Before they take on Bayern Munich in Germany next week, Leonardo's men will look to keep up their impressive league form with victory at Brescia on Friday. Inter have won seven of their last eight league games.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri will have to watch his side's match at Parma from the stands while he completes a touchline ban.

Mazzarri was sent off for dissent during last weekend's goalless draw against Brescia. The Azzurri are third, three points behind Inter and two points clear of Lazio, who hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.

Vincenzo Montella's Roma were knocked out of the Champions League with a 3-0 defeat at Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday and will look to make amends with victory against Lazio in the city derby.

Roma are sixth, five points behind Lazio.

A Lazio defeat could see red-hot Udinese climb to fourth provided the Friuli outfit wins at Cagliari. Udinese are one point behind Lazio and travel to Sardinia riding an 11-match unbeaten streak.

Pressure is building on Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri, whose team's 1-0 defeat at AC Milan was a third straight defeat.

Juve, who are seventh and seven points behind the last Champions League qualifying spot, play at Cesena on Saturday.

Fiorentina are looking to improve their away form when they square off against Chievo in Verona. Fiorentina have taken just one win on the road this season.

Victory on Sunday at relegation-threatened Lecce would see Bologna take a giant step towards securing their Serie A status. Alberto Malesani's side has collected 36 points in 28 games.

Catania are in Sicily this weekend and will face a Sampdoria side that fell 3-2 against Cesena last weekend. The result led to the sacking of Samp coach Domenico Di Carlo and the appointment of Alberto Cavasin as his replacement.

Palermo coach Sese Cosmi has yet to taste victory since replacing Delio Rossi earlier this month. The Sicilians travel to the Luigi Ferraris stadium to face Genoa on the back of four straight defeats.
