Jovetic wants to stay, says agent

Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic is not interested in a move away from the club, according to his agent.

Jovetic, 21, is one of the best young prospects in the game, but has been out of action for six months after suffering a serious knee injury in pre-season training.

Now agent Fali Ramadani claims that the Montenegro international is being tracked by a host of clubs, but that he is focused on fulfilling his role with La Viola.

"I can confirm that last summer, Liverpool had asked me about Stevan," Ramadani told Calciomercato. "The deal did not go through because the player wanted to remain in Florence.

"I don't know if the interest is still alive, but I have not heard from anyone in England. Stevan is doing well at Fiorentina.

"He is keen to return to the pitch soon, and is keen to start playing again. This week, he will have a final check-up in Germany, and then he will put himself at the disposal of [Sinisa] Mihajlovic.

"He could return to playing football in the first week of April."
