Wilshere fit for Barca

Jack Wilshere insists he will be fully fit to face Barcelona on Tuesday after Arsene Wenger said the midfielder had an ankle problem.

Wilshere could miss Barca tie

Arsenal are without Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott, Thomas Vermaelen and Lukasz Fabianski for Tuesday's game and Alex Song is doubtful.

There were fears Wilshere would join the list of absentees when Wenger said after the 0-0 draw with Sunderland that he would have to wait until Monday or Tuesday before making a decision.

However, Wilshere has now used his Twitter account to say that, while he did take some knocks in the game, he is ready to play if called upon.

"Afternoon everyone..just to let you know i am not injured and if selected will be fit to face Barca! Few kicks but nothing too bad!" he wrote.

Arsenal hold a 2-1 lead going into the second leg at the Camp Nou.
