Ancelotti: We won't go out

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti says that only a few of his current squad are playing at their top level, but maintained that the Blues would not go out of the Champions League against FC Copenhagen.

Ancelotti believes the Blues will get a confidence boost after their FA Cup exit to Everton on Saturday with a win in Denmark and said the last-16 tie was just what the club needed to get back on their feet.

''Chelsea won't go out against Copenhagen,'' said Ancelotti. ''We have a possibility to win against Copenhagen. We have to have the right pressure because we have 180 minutes to win against them. We need to maintain a good shape, stay together and work hard together and not individually.

''We need to take a result and it'll be a good to take a result on Tuesday. The Champions League is not easy but it brings a lot of motivation.

"We have lost confidence in our play, we have no continuity. That is the reason for these results. Saturday was not good, we are disappointed. But the performance was good, we worked hard for 90 minutes. We created 10 chances. We have to stay together, work hard."

Ancelotti also hailed goalkeeper Petr Cech, but conceded that only John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic are playing anywhere near their best alongside him.

"How many players are playing near the top of their level at this moment besides Cech?'' he said. ''Ivanovic, who is playing consistently. Terry. A couple are not at 100% fitness. Frank Lampard played well against Everton.

''After the defeat against Birmingham [in November] we have lost confidence in our play and sometimes it is difficult to move on. But we have to keep going and maintain our play, create chances and hopefully have more shot accuracy. We are not having good results and we have to do better.''
