Moyes: Saha out of cup clash

Everton manager David Moyes has admitted he expects to be without striker Louis Saha for their FA Cup fourth-round replay against Chelsea on Saturday, while there are also serious doubts over Jack Rodwell's fitness.

• Keegan: Drogba's test of character

Saha missed last Sunday's loss at Bolton with a hamstring strain and is still a few days away from returning to training. Rodwell has made a faster recovery than expected from a groin injury but the trip to Stamford Bridge comes too soon for the England midifelder.

"I don't think Louis Saha has a chance [of being fit]," Moyes told Sky Sports. "We've said at the time it will be 10-14 days and we're sticking by that, I think that will be the case. Jack Rodwell's done great, he's made great strides to be fit but I think it will come too quickly for him but he's done well and hopefully he'll be available next week.

With a Champions League tie away to FC Copenhagen coming three days after the cup clash for Chelsea, Moyes has suggested Carlo Ancelotti's side may have more than one eye on their European programme.

"You can see the quality from most of the games people have seen this week," he said. "Chelsea will want to be in there with those teams, certainly wanting to get to the final stages. I'm hoping that they've got that in mind and hoping that they are thinking about that more than my game."

Meanwhile, Moyes has dismissed as ''a load of rubbish'' suggestions his side's season hinges on the result of the game.

Moyes said: ''It is no different from the way I felt a few weeks ago. If you ask, 'Does this make or break your season, is this your season over?' - that's a load of rubbish.

''The season is never over, you have got to play all the games that are put in front of you. Hopefully we will keep going through and get as far as we can but if we get knocked out, we get knocked out.

''We still have to play our league games and with the position we are in, we need to pick up more points. The cup becomes important but no more important than it was before.''
