Scholes ready to sacrifice style

Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes is willing to put style out of the window as long as his side win the Premier League title this season.

• Scholes: It's business time

Scholes is aiming to pick up his 10th - and United's record-breaking 19th - title this season and his team hold a four-point advantage over Arsenal at the top of the league. United have not caught the eye for their style thus far, but Scholes insists that it matters little if they finish the campaign on top of the table.

"You plan to be top of the league and playing great football every week, but it doesn't always happen," he said.

''If we're top of the league at the end of the season - when it matters - and we haven't been blowing teams away, we won't care. The only thing that matters is winning that league.''
