Milan cruise, Cavani stars for Napoli

AC Milan warmed up in style for Tuesday's Champions League tie against Tottenham by extending their lead at the top of Serie A to six points with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Parma.

Clarence Seedorf put the Rossoneri ahead after eight minutes and Antonio Cassano added the second within 10 minutes.

Two goals from substitute Robinho in the space of five second-half minutes allowed Milan to take it easy for the last 25 minutes, having secured the three points they needed to open up a six-point cushion over Napoli at the summit.

Parma tried to make a fight of it with the lively Sebastian Giovinco and Antonio Candreva opening up the Milan defence. The latter's cross was fumbled slightly by Christian Abbiati, who recovered to pounce on the ball before Amauri could capitalise.

Edinson Cavani scored twice in the second half as Napoli ended Roma's unbeaten run this season at the Stadio Olimpico with a 2-0 victory.

Cavani converted from the penalty spot in the 49th minute after Roma defender Juan had brought down Marek Hamsik inside the area. The Uruguay forward then put the game beyond Roma's reach with seven minutes remaining.

The result allowed Napoli to keep up the pressure on Serie A leaders AC Milan while it has dented Roma's scudetto ambitions. Napoli lie second, three points behind Milan.
