Koscielny handed first France call-up

Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny has been called into the France squad for the first time for next week's friendly with Brazil at the Stade de France.

But Manchester United defender Patrice Evra was not selected by national team boss Laurent Blanc in his 23-man squad for the game on February 9.

Evra is eligible for selection after serving a five-match ban for his part in the revolt in France's World Cup squad in South Africa last year.

Koscielny is one of four Arsenal players in the squad, joining fellow defenders Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy and midfielder Abou Diaby. France squad to face Brazil:

Goalkeepers: Lloris (Lyon), Mandanda (Marseille), Carrasso (Bordeaux),

Defenders: Sagna (Arsenal), Rami (Lille), Mexes (Roma), Mamadou Sakho (PSG), Clichy (Arsenal), Abidal (Barcelona), Reveillere (Lyon), Koscielny (Arsenal),

Midfielders: Alou Diarra (Bordeaux), M'Vila (Rennes), Malouda (Chelsea), Gourcuff (Lyon), Matuidi (St Etienne), Diaby (Arsenal), Cabaye (Lille), Menez (Roma)

Forwards: Gameiro (Lorient), Hoarau (PSG), Benzema (Real Madrid), Remy (Marseille).
