Real rejected Juve bid for Benzema
Juventus have had a loan bid for France striker Karim Benzema rejected by Real Madrid, according to super-agent Ernesto Bronzetti.
Injuries to Fabio Quagliarella, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Luca Toni have forced Juve to hunt for a striker, but so far the Italian side have been unable to bolster their depleted forward line.
Earlier in the transfer window, Juve made a move for Benzema, who is yet to find his feet at the Bernabeu, but an injury to Gonzalo Higuain meant that at the time Benzema was Real's only fit striker.
And Bronzetti, who has strong links with Madrid, said the Spanish side quickly rejected the Bianconeri's bid.
"Juventus called Real Madrid and tried to obtain a loan for Benzema, but there was nothing they could do after the Spanish club closed up," Bronzetti told Tuttosport.
"The market offers many names, but to get them you need money and I don't think Juventus can make heavy investments at this time."
