Sagna returns from hospital

Arsenal have confirmed that Bacary Sagna is "fine" after spending the night in hospital due to a head injury suffered in the club's Carling Cup win over Ipswich Town.

• Wenger unlikely to make signings
• Wilshere hungry for silverware

Sagna collided with goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the first half of Arsenal's 3-0 win and required lengthy treatment before being replaced by Emmanuel Eboue.

Arsene Wenger later confirmed the defender had suffered concussion, and the club have revealed that Sagna has left hospital and is recovering well.

"Following last night's match when Bacary Sagna was substituted in the 18th minute, after receiving a blow to the head in a collision with Wojciech Szczesny, Bacary was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure," read a club statement.

"After staying in hospital overnight for observation, Bacary has now been discharged and overall is well and in good spirits."
